HOMOSEXUALITY: HADES WALK. Drugs are like a long descent into hell, a naked dance with your inner demons. Majuscule is still very young but she bears the marks of her time with drug addicts. The little girl of her teenage years has nothing to do with this woman of rare kindness but who withholds her generosity for fear of being abused. Yes, eyes are the gaze of the soul, and in the shackles of those empty eyes we find the extreme suffering of a soul betrayed by humanity. She’ll shout it out in one of her tracks, « The devil is us, this is humanity or rather what we’ve done with our tolerance of others. «
HADES WALK : Begining !
Majuscule was bullied during her childhood. A gifted student, she aligns the numbers and letters with an aesthete adept at perfection. One day two classmates slap her for no reason. She clapped back right away “I remember looking at them for a long time. Asked them why. There was no reason, so when recess came, I went straight for them, I stopped for two seconds, I was so pissed off… I slapped them back, in front of all their friends. «
At home, Majuscule‘s parents turned out to be violent. It is often in closed homes that violence develops, far from view, far from judgment, inside the closed doors of the home: « It was based on: one who holds me, the other who bangs, I write tap, because it was more violent than simple slaps or corrections but it was rare that I had bruises, in any case big bruises. It was measured abuse. But the humiliations she suffered are real: « They oppressed me with verbal violence, bare cold showers, and therefore humiliation. I tidied my room and until midnight / one in the morning they would come and turn everything. Majuscule takes refuge with her best friend… then in drugs. »
At boarding school, she hangs out with the bad boys, smokes weed « « I don’t know why I started smoking weed with them. At first I didn’t like them at all anymore. But we lived together, upperclass drug dealers. » The problems that her livelihood will bring her gradually takes her out of school. Another drug dealer comes to threaten his mother with a bladed weapon, she decides to place it elsewhere. Then she herself is threatened. One thing leading to another, the gifted child jumps from one sector to another without ever meeting her parents again. Then she ends up with a boy, and starts shooting heroin. Her addiction increases in severity, Majuscule is now a slave like the other lifeless souls who roam our alleys when we are in bed.
At 18 years old in need of heroin, she ends up leaving. Her mother tries to place her with her grandmother, but Majuscule is not only selling heroin now. It has become her livelihood. She stays with her grandmother for only two weeks.
So she escapes to rave parties. She finds broken people like her whom life has taken a toll on in one way or another. She sells drugs every night, sometimes more than 1000 euro in a day, yet it is still not enough for her: « I remember having sold 1000 euros of mdma in one night. Big benefits, but my friends were a little too hooked. I quickly got drunk, I left. I alternated between my parents and the street. » In the end she ends up hitting her mother and breaking her father’s rib.
She meets the woman for whom she writes all of her songs. When listening to Majuscule’s work, one often finds the second person singular, that « you » to whom we always speak with great affection. This « you » is the woman of her life, but Majuscule isn’t ready to meet her yet. After their romance, jealousy between them devours them. It’s a passion, but a toxic passion. And those around them take a dim view. Majuscule plays the game of love and chance in passionate Carmen-style love.
« At first, squats(French for occupying homes without permission) are luxurious. We hang out with friends on the night of our birthday in a luxurious villa which we swim in: « Not at all healthy, full of drugs and addicts, only parties. It was during the floods, on my birthday for example, people swam home. It shocked the local gypsies to see girls swimming naked visibly. It was really funny. The next day the firefighters evacuated us all. It’s a house where there was a jacuzzi, walk-in shower. There were orgies in there «
Then things speed up, and we end up squatting in the apartment of a guy abusing a 60-year-old grandmother. A Michto(an abuser taking advantage of a victim), a rare species but definitely not endangered. Yes, rapes and fights are part of Majuscule’s daily life: « I landed in a room to rent. Where it went wrong, it was a guy who married an old woman who was already over sixty for papers, it was gnawing. We ended up fighting. The right jab I gave him calmed him down, but also twisted my thumb (yeah I know I did combat sports but hey, on the spot eh). »
In this slum, this woman she met becomes her only outlet with writing. But when her relatives manipulate her, to let her know that her girlfriend has not hesitated to cheat on her. She wallows in self-destruction and becomes a full blown addict.
Majuscule is found in the street around Gare du Nord where the lifeless souls hang out: “I spent entire days and nights at Gare du Nord with people I knew absolutely not to trust my feeling. I found myself with two immigrants. Obviously they wanted to kiss me, too unhealthy atmosphere. «
She owes her life to her still caustic pen and to a Parisian producer.
